Mooring-Hill
Caroline Kinlaw Hill and Edward Trent Mooring were married at six o'clock on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church in Kinston. The Reverend Allen Michael Singer officiated. A reception at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Kinston Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Britt Hill of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Duffy Dennis of Ayden, and Mrs. Robert O'Neill Hill, senior of Hookerton and the late Mr. Hill. The bride is a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy and attended North Carolina State University. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club of Raleigh in 2005. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Jerry Walton of Kinston, and Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Mooring of LaGrange. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Case Mooring of LaGrange, and Mrs. Yancey Ziegfield Foss of LaGrange and the late Mr. Foss. He is a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from Barton College. The groom is a vice president and commercial loan officer at The Little Bank in Goldsboro. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sisters, Claire Elizabeth Hill and Mary Abigail Hill of Kinston, as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Wheeler Clark of Raleigh, Lauren Faye Curtis of Greenville, Jane Stancil Walton of Wilson, Manuela Wicki of Wolhusen, Switzerland, and Heather Minges Wiggins and Jessica Oettinger Wilder of Kinston. The flower girl was Anne Grayson Lindley of Kinston. The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Henry Alexander Easley IV and Alonzo Clay Edwards III of Wilmington; Edward Matchet Herring and Robert Franklin Mooring III of Greenville; Ryan Thomas Killinger, Brian Carey Wiggins, and William Nelson Wilder, junior, all of Kinston; Patrick Louis Mills and Oliver Gray Wheeler IV of Raleigh; John Isaac Southerland of Birmingham, Alabama; and Jerry David Walton and Zacharia Harris Wiggins of Wilson. Oliver Chase Jones of Weddington was the ring bearer. The readers were Corey Patrick Fader and Walter Scott Newton II of Kinston. The program attendants were Annaliese Sutton Gillette of Greenville and Julia Wright Grady of Kinston. The register attendant was Kathryn Kennedy Edwards of Kinston. Sean Charles Anglin of Kinston served as crucifer. Acolytes were Lauren Ellis Marie Sale and Tilden Louise Mauck of Kinston. Following a wedding trip to Saint Barthelemy, the couple will reside in Kinston.
