Sarah Elizabeth Peavler of Cary and Christopher Glenn Meredith of High Point were married June 27, 2009, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Raleigh. The Reverend Rick Clayton officiated the ceremony. A reception was held at the State Club of North Carolina State University. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peavler of Cary. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Peavler of Kirksville, Missouri, and the late Dr. Peavler and Mrs. Earl Tieman of Rochester, Minnesota, and the late Mr. Tieman. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Meredith of High Point. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Meredith of Thomasville and Mr. Sam Portaro of High Point and the late Mrs. Portaro. Kristen Peavler, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Meredith, sister of the groom; Lauren Cobb, friend of the bride; and Courtney Myers, cousin of the groom. Jennifer Peavler and Ashley Peavler, sisters of the bride, served as junior bridesmaids. Gregory Meredith, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Austin Craven, Ross Gordon and Robert Myers, all friends of the groom. Chase Portaro, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer. Ushers were Clint Bowman, cousin of the groom, and Alex Kidd, friend of the groom. The bride graduated from North Carolina State University and is employed with Occidental Fire and Casualty in Raleigh. The groom graduated from North Carolina State University and is employed with KPMG, LLP in Raleigh. After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Morrisville.
