Anna Marion Hartzog and Richard Oakley Tison were married Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2009, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. The Reverend Doctor Arthur Ross III officiated. A reception immediately followed at the Carolina Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McCord Hartzog of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gerard Hartzog, Jr. of Raleigh and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Alexander Trojan of Burlington. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Oakley Tison of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wayne Plymate of Raleigh and Mrs. Oakley Tison and the late Mr. Oakley Tison of Brooklyn, Michigan. The maid of honor was Margaret Patricia Faust of Madison, Wisconsin. The bridesmaids were Laura Tison Whitley of Leland, Katie Weaver Hartzog, Susan Tison Childs, Jennifer Maupin Alexander, all of Raleigh, Sarah Hampton Cox of Charlotte, Marian Grace Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, Gaya Celeste Myers of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gina Diep Nguyen of New York, New York. The groom's father served as best man. The groomsmen were Dan McCord Hartzog, Jr., Richard Allen Childs II, James Preston Willcox, David Layne Hillman, Louis Gordon Sinclair III, Benjamin Thomas Spangler, all of Raleigh, Henry Harper Whitley III of Leland, and Gregory Edward Steen of Atlanta, Georgia. Richard Allen Childs III served as ring bearer. The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism. The groom also graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in political science. They have been residing in Washington, DC. After the couple's honeymoon, they will be moving to Atlanta, Georgia, where the groom will attend the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
