Part 1. Authorization for publication
This form gives permission for The News & Observer to publish your announcement in the newspaper and on the web. It must be completed and sent with all of the special announcement forms. Whoever is paying for or submitting the announcement may fill it out. The Publisher reserves the right to revise, edit or reject any or all copy and photographs.

You need to know
Policies:
- It is the policy of The News & Observer to spell out most words including titles, states, and schools.
- It is not necessary to use North Carolina with the cities included within the state. Cities outside of North Carolina will include the appropriate state.
- Heading information is included on all announcements. This includes photographer, studio name, person or persons appearing in the photo and the couple’s names.
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- Announcements are pre-paid; you will receive a final price quote with your proof.
- By submitting the announcement you are agreeing to the $25 administrative fee should you cancel your announcement.
- The News & Observer reserves the right to revise, edit or reject any or all copy and photographs.
