Hollis Cherry Moye and Clifford James Ray were united in marriage on October 10, 2009, at four o'clock in the afternoon at Ann Street United Methodist Church in Beaufort. The Reverends Eric Norman Lindblade, Jr. and Berry Godwin French III officiated. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Country Club of the Crystal Coast in Pine Knoll Shores. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Anderson Moye III of Maury. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Anderson Moye, Jr. of Maury and Mrs. Lena Davis Cherry of Chapel Hill and the late Mr. William Robert Cherry. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Winfield Rouse of Jacksonville and the late Mr. Richard Lloyd Ray. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Milton Robinson of Jacksonville, Mrs. Willa Gene Ray of Wilmington and the late Mr. Biss Ray and Mr. and Mrs. George Winfield Rouse of Williamston. Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by the matron of honor Corinne Stewart Parham DiFiore of New York, New York. Bridesmaids were Hannah Exum Elmore, Lindsay Marie Rufty and Lauren Elizabeth Troxclair, all of Raleigh; and Stacy Lynn Cutlip of Atlanta, Georgia. Joshua Adam Ray of Titusville, Florida, and Matthew Christopher Ray of Jacksonville, brothers of the groom, served as the best men. Groomsmen were Lawrence Anderson Moye IV of Maury, brother of the bride; Jonathan Thomas Hansen of Charlotte; Ryan Glen Hilsinger of Greensboro and Michael John Stroff IV of Uvalde, Texas. The bride graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa as a Park Scholar from North Carolina State University. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club of Raleigh at the 2003 North Carolina Debutante Ball where she was an Assistant Leader. She is currently in her final year of medical school at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine in Greenville and is pursuing a residency in internal medicine. The groom graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member and a commercial developer- broker with Ray Development and Consulting, LLC, in Wilmington. After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Wilmington.
