BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL: Shake a leg over to DPAC as the Tony-winning teamdirector Stephen Daldry, writer Lee Hall and choreographer Peter Darling raise the curtain on this tiny dancer as he makes his stand in the auditorium in this electrifying Elton John-scored production. THE EVE BALL: Halloween may be so last week, but happening costume dance parties are still in the now. So, creep over to the Carolina Club, get another week out of your Halloween getup and do some good. And if you really break bad, theyre Benjamins to be had in the six category costume contest. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the Eve Marie Carson Scholarship fund. THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS: The devil is given his due as the Manhattan production scrolls through Memorial Auditorium in Max Mcleans wickedly witty rendering of C.S. COUTURE FOR A CAUSE: Mosey over to Marbles catwalk as local glitterati glam up for the good and strut their stuff for this swanky second annual fashion frenzy fundraiser showcasing prêt-à-porter and couture looks fashioned to embody the spirit of ME³ nonprofit outfits via a partnership with 19 area fashion designers. ME³ (Motivate, Educate, Empower and Engage) is an org that pairs volunteer-minded peeps with nonprofit orgs to bolster volunteerism and helping others. When: Nov. 5, 8-10:30pm. TROIKA MUSIC FESTIVAL: Motor over to the Bull Citys newest beat house when a slew of homegrown hot acts such as Chatham County Line and Dillon Fence bend the boards at Motorco Music Hall as part of the three-day jam fest strumming up a live mixtape of 50-plus area-best bands. Then, cross the street to Fullsteam as The Small Ponds, Onward Soldiers and others brew up a good time.
