Monday's blah, but your week doesn't have to be. So, here are some hip haunts and choice events to hit up:

BURN THE FLOOR: It’s not Johnny keeping Baby out of the corner, but these ballroom bravados ‘ll swag up the stage all the same with a little sizzling shimmying of their own. 18th ANNUAL BOYLAN HEIGHTS ARTWALK: Take a Sunday stroll and hoof through homes and studios in the historic Heights to check out some community craft, and take the opp to shop and scoop up some local goods for gifts. “Have you walked your art today?” Artwork to include pottery, jewelry, prints, oils, watercolors, pastels, photography, home accessories, et cetera. IRA DAVID WOOD III’s “A CHRISTMAS CAROL”: Got those “Bah Humbug!” blues? Let the “spirits” of the season remind you why it sucks to be a Scrooge in Raleigh Hall-of-famer Ira David Wood III’s 36th-annual famed adaptation of Dickens’ classic Christmas tale of celebration and redemption. MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS: If every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings, there’s about to be a flock of feathered seraphs in flight as Mannheim rolls into town and tolls some “sweet, silver bells.” So, make merry and mosey over to Memorial Aud for some mod spins on trad holiday tunes. A TASTE OF RETAIL: Food and fashion don’t exactly go hand in hand—or hand to mouth—but ‘tis the season to simultaneously stuff your face and shop ‘til you drop. Gobble and glamour collide as A Taste of Retail gives you 31 reasons to mix munch with market and add a little stuffing to your stockings when 31 city-center banging’ boutiques dish discounts and savory snacks from delish downtown dining hotspots. Outdoor entertainment also provided—so you can shimmy off some of those snacks while you shop. When: Dec. 4, 10 a.m-4 p.m. More info
