This week check out Brock Dalton — an IT-recruiter by day, the moonlighting mixologist has been a mainstay behind the O’Malley’s bar for 11 years. A bit of a foodie, when he’s not toiling, this tech-savvy bartender digs dabbling in new recipes for his friends and stealing happy hours — preferably shore side — with his wife and toddler son, Jackson.

Hometown: Poughkeepsie, NY.

Fav thing about living in the Triangle: How easy it is to get around.

Your day job: An IT recruiter for Resolvit, an IT consulting firm in Raleigh.

So, why the two jobs? I really enjoy the people. Bartenders are sometimes listeners, talkers, psychiatrists, therapists, etc. We wear many hats when behind the pine. You never know who will walk through the doors. I have served everyone from a homeless person to a CEO of a company. The options are endless—as to what you can learn from meeting so many different personalities. I truly enjoy what I do.

If you have a drink in your hand, it's probably a: Cold one.

O'Malley’s friendlies might say 'Brock makes the meanest': Rockzilla. (Vodka, triple sec, apple pucker, Malibu, Stoli Raz, pineapple juice, sour mix and a splash of Sprite).

Your personality, in a word: Comical.

If you had to, which of your coworkers would you drunk text and why? All of them — to tell them to come over for a drink when they’re done working.

If they made a movie about your life, who would play your mom? Lucille Ball.

Last song purchase or download: “She's Country.”

Movie you've watched over and over: “Hitch.”

Your guilty pleasure: Wine.

Your celeb crush: Sandra Bullock.

Fictional character with whom you most identify: The Mask.

If you could live in any book or movie, which one would you live in: “Ocean’s Eleven.”

If you didn't know better, you'd think this song was written about you: “My Way.”

Last concert you went to: Kings of Leon.

On your DVR: “Life as a house.”

If you turn on my TV, it's likely on channel: Food Network.

Biggest pop culture train wreck? “Jersey Shore.”

You sometimes get mistaken for: Chipper Jones.

If you could have a happy hour with anyone, it'd be: Frank Sinatra.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and whom would you take with you? Ireland and my wife.

People should know that you: Are always there for them.

One thing you refuse to do under any circumstances: Laundry.

One thing you'd easily do for the right cost: Help someone less fortunate.

Pet peeve: Complaining.

What one thing do you wish you could tell people about patronizing any bar? Don't say to make it a “good one” without asking for a double.

A bartender's best friend is: Tips.

Something people should drink more of: Shots.

A good drink for the holiday season: Red Wine.

Other bars in the Triangle you have worked: Only O'Malley's.

If you're not at work, you're most likely: At home playing with Jackson.

Your go-to bar in the Triangle other than your own: Anywhere that’s open.
