Monday's blah, but your week doesn't have to be. So, here are some hip haunts and choice events to hit up:
BIG BOSS TAP INVASION: Dont Big Boss brews just make you wanna sin a little and repent with an Angry Angel? Well, Hells Bells, its beer time. Show your belly whos boss with the Big Boss tap invasion, when the taps are overtaken by five bossy brews, plus one surprise cask ale. And theyll have that quarter-wings deal again, too. Featured beers: Angry Angel, Hells Belle, Bad Penny, High Roller IPA and Blanco Diablo, plus specialty cask TBA. When: Feb. 23, 7 p.m. until the beer is gone. More info
GREASE SING-ALONG: Before Glee there was Grease. And theres just no match for those Rydell rebels. Think about it. How much more entertaining or alarming would high school woes have been if people just randomly broke into songs about virginity. They probably did at Travoltas high school. Just sayin. So even though they didnt at yours, you can fancy the notion for a night of Grease sing-song, along with those T-birds and Pink Ladies you loved for so long. When: Feb. 24, 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. $10. More info
CHILLYFEST: Seventy degrees may make Mondays suck a little less, but the rest of the week promises to be a bit more nipply. Nothing a heaping bowl of chef-prepped chili (and a beer or two) cant hedge. So, hop over to Hunters as they shut down the 100 block of Fayetteville Street with some live tunes, a bounce house and a beer garden, while you spoon into some trademark local-resto-readied chili for a cook-off. Its for the kids. Just dont get drunk and takeover the bounce house. Thats for the kids, too. Event raises money for the Boys and Girls Clubs. When: Feb 26, 12-5 p.m. More info
BON JOVI 2011 TOUR: No, its not 1986. But the news might make you want to sport blood red nails and give love a bad name with Slippery When Wet on high-crank. So, amp it up in your car as you rock over to RBC Center as '80s glam-metal, long-haired, love-ballad lyricists roll through town and take the stage on their 2011 tour, following the Nov. 9 release of their Greatest Hits album. Guess they really are livin on a prayer after all. When: Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m. $19.50-$129. More info
WHOS BAD THE ULTIMATE MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE BAND: Wait, maybe it is 1986. Or at least '87 the weeks starting to feel a little like youre Michael J. Fox going Back to the Future in that sweet DeLorean. Why do our car doors still not open like that in 2011? Seriously. Maybe someday. For now, don a white glove and moonwalk back to a time when you used to belt Im bad lyrics in the shower. It promises to be a pelvic-thrusting good time. When: Feb. 25, Lincoln Theatre, 9 p.m. $13 advance, $15 at the door. More info
