Monday's blah, but your week doesn't have to be. So, here are some hip haunts and choice events to hit up:

HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS: Admit it. The news just makes you wanna whistle. Bounce over to the RBC Center and dribble up a good time as the ball-handling, slam-dunk sensations hoop up their 85th-anniversary celebration tour. When: March 5, 2 p.m. $15-$125. More info

BACK TO THE MARKET: Taste that? It’s the taste of spring. If you haven’t heard, the Pack is back. Or at least the NC State farmers market is. Everyone needs a little bok choi in their life. And some solar heated tunnel produced strawberries. No. Seriously. Get it on Wednesdays in the Brickyard through April 13. C’mon. We all go to NC State. When: Wednesdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

SHARE TO CARE: Make like you got “molested by a care bear” and care enough to share for the first annual event raising funds for people who care for a living. Don some cocktail duds, and dine and dance to give a damn. The event raises money for Guiding Lights Caregiver Support Center and includes silent auction, deejay, live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts. When: March 5, 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. $50. North Raleigh Hilton, Ballroom. More info

BREWMASTERS BEER BASH: If the news of CBS dropping “Two and a Half Men” makes you wanna run headlong into a brick wall, you can always drown your sorrows in a beer barrel instead. Lucky for you, that all-the-rage local lager just landed a lounge loyal to its cause, and its grand opening promises to be a lot of frothy fun. Just remember, Charlie Sheen’s a loser, but you don’t have to be — so don’t drink so much they find you drunk and naked. When: March 4, 5 p.m. Brewmasters Bar and Grill, 301 W. Martin Street, Raleigh. More info

JOHN MELLENCAMP – NO BETTER THAN THIS TOUR: If sometimes love don’t feel like it should … a dose of Mellancamp just might make it hurt so good. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is set to bend the boards at DPAC, with a Super8 docu film short as the opening act, chronicling the creation of his No Better Than This album. If it’s true that it doesn’t get any better than this, let’s hope life really does go on “long after the thrill of livin’ is gone.” When: March 1, 7 p.m. Starting at $46.50. More info
