During the Raleigh First Friday Gallery Walk, stop by Artspace to see work by Eric McRay of McRay Studios. He will showcase several 6X6 collage paintings on canvas from the collection called "Hearts of Gratitude."

In 2011, McRay painted 100 heart paintings. Now he has returned to this series with a renewed passion.

"The paintings touch on an emotion that we all understand — love," he said. "Parents, spouses, children, friends — love comes in many forms at different points in our lives."

The collection showcases a variety of emotions expressed through mixed media, collage and acrylic paint.

It is rare for an audience to view such a large collection of uniquely themed original art — and it's just in time for Valentine's Day. The collection will be on display in studio 205 at Artspace.
