FARM TO TABLE FUNDRAISER DINNER: If youre jonesin for fall crops fresh off the farm, saddle up to The Oxford for the farm-to-table fundraiser dinner, with fare from and proceeds benefiting Raleigh City Farm to continue their mission of growing food and sparking agricultural imagination in the city. So, in essence, you afford them the opp to reap what they sow. Literally. Kind of a cant miss. Where: The Oxford, Raleigh (restaurant will be closed to normal business for the event). CALAVERA ANNIVERSARY PARTY: Its fun to be 1. Its even more fun to wash down a Wednesday with some top tequilas. LIFE IN COLOR (FORMERLY DAYGLOW): THE E.N.D. TOUR, RALEIGH: Its time to get primed. Painting color me happy literal, the worlds biggest paint party returns to Red Hat Amphitheater with a palette of pandemonium. Think aerialists, electro-beats (END=Electronic Never Dies), light shows and paint cannons. Its like a rave on steroids. Your inner college kid just perked up. Where: Red Hat Amphitheater, Raleigh. THE N.C. STATE FAIR, YALL: We know. Theres just something about a place where you can combine squealin racin pigs, Scotty McCreery, the Sky Diver (Ferris wheel meets the Zipper), a two-headed snake, the worlds smallest woman and food on a stick. ... Rumor has it theyre deep-frying girl scouts this year the cookies, not the kids although, theyre liable to fry up anything at the fair, so keep the kids closeby.
