Monday's blah, but your week doesn't have to be. So, here are some hip haunts and choice events to hit up:

LEGALLY BLONDE: Giving sorostitutes a good name — and some melody and moves — Elle puts down daddy’s plastic, picks up the books and hits Harvard Law, in the singing-dancing showcase of the blockbuster fave. Bet that Bruiser’s a show-stealer. Where: Memorial Auditorium, Raleigh. When: Tue.-Sun., times vary. $16-$76. | More info

FARM TO TABLE FUNDRAISER DINNER: If you’re jonesin’ for fall crops fresh off the farm, saddle up to The Oxford for the farm-to-table fundraiser dinner, with fare from and proceeds benefiting Raleigh City Farm to continue their mission of growing food and sparking agricultural imagination in the city. So, in essence, you afford them the opp to reap what they sow. Literally. Kind of a can’t miss. Where: The Oxford, Raleigh (restaurant will be closed to normal business for the event). When: Sunday, 6:30 p.m, Champagne welcome. 7 p.m., dinner. $85 per person. View the menu and purchase tickets

CALAVERA ANNIVERSARY PARTY: It’s fun to be 1. It’s even more fun to wash down a Wednesday with some top tequilas. So to celebrate the sweet success, Raleigh’s fave tequila and empanada house is, well, bringing down the house — with DJ Keith spinning and fab drink specials ($3 Espolón Margaritas, $4 Paloma Shots (you get to keep the shot glass!), $5 Apple Cider Margaritas). Drink enough of those and you’ll be spinning, too. ... Where: Calavera, Downtown Raleigh. When: Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. | More info

LIFE IN COLOR (FORMERLY DAYGLOW): THE E.N.D. TOUR, RALEIGH: It’s time to get primed. Painting “color me happy” literal, the world’s biggest paint party returns to Red Hat Amphitheater with a palette of pandemonium. Think aerialists, electro-beats (END=Electronic Never Dies), light shows and paint cannons. It’s like a rave on steroids. Your inner college kid just perked up. Where: Red Hat Amphitheater, Raleigh. When: Saturday, 6 p.m. General admission, $32; VIP tickets, $70. | More info

THE N.C. STATE FAIR, Y’ALL: We know. There’s just something about a place where you can combine squealin’ racin’ pigs, Scotty McCreery, the Sky Diver (Ferris wheel meets the Zipper), a two-headed snake, the world’s smallest woman and food on a stick. ... Rumor has it they’re deep-frying girl scouts this year — the cookies, not the kids — although, they’re liable to fry up anything at the fair, so keep the kids closeby. Battered and slathered Samoas, anyone? Where: The Fairgrounds, Raleigh. When: Thu. Oct. 11 through Sun. Oct. 21. Visit ncstatefair.org for hours, prices and details.
