COUTURE FOR A CAUSE: We know. Your inner-glam goddess (or god) is always starving for attention. Feed that inner fashionista as local glitterati gather for the good: Activate Good’s fourth annual Couture for a Cause Fashion show, where local designers team up with Activate Good nonprofit partners to create prêt-à-porter and couture looks inspired by the ‘spirit’ of the corresponding orgs. The designer whose duds best reps the cause they’re paired with wins a prize. Includes lite bites, silent and live auctions, runway show and entertainment. Where: Marbles, Raleigh. When: Saturday, 7:30 p.m. $25, presale; $30 door; $75, VIP. | More info

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: Like it or not, sleigh bells have started to ring around these parts, and Raleigh’s Little Theatre is capping off the season with Barbara Robinson's holiday classic: the oh-so-humble “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” about the world’s worst kids. Whether or not you’re feeling that “‘tis the season” spirit, a bunch of tot terrors who remind you how angelic your kiddos are by comparison really never goes out of season. Where: Raleigh Little Theatre, Raleigh. When: Showtimes vary through Nov. 18. Adults and Teens: $13; children age 12 and under: $9. | More info

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN: Based on the decade-old DreamWorks crime thriller made famous by Hollywood heartthrob Leo DiCaprio and a star-studded supporting cast, the Broadway musical looks to share the Blockbuster status. Where: Memorial Auditorium, Downtown Raleigh. When: Tue.-Sun., times vary. $21-$76. | More info

RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE DIVAS: Idol, X Factor, The Voice — addicts take note. Raleigh Little Theatre opens its stage to a parade of performers vying for your votes, affection and, well dollars. Cop a squat as downtown Raleigh’s fave dynamic duo of cabaret, Kevin and Greg, will be taking their show(tunes) to stage for a night of glitz, glam and giving as part of the Raleigh Little Theatre Divas competition. As avid supporters of RLT for 20 years, Kevin and Greg will perform (along with their diva competitors) in support of the theatre, where each dollar raised for your fav diva is a dollar doled to continue RLT’s programming. Where: Raleigh Little Theatre. When: Saturday, reception, 7 p.m.; showtime, 8 p.m. $35. | More info

URBAN DARE: Amazing Race is no doubt on your bucket list. But until you land a chance to go global and jump on a mat at the feet of Phil Keoghan, you’ll have to settle for the one-day local variety. Part running, part trivia, part skill challenges, the “amazing race-esqe” nationally touring challenge asks teams to solve clues to find checkpoints to come out victorious. If nothing else, it’s good practice for the real race. We dare you. Where: Tir Na-Nog, Raleigh. When: Saturday, noon. $45 per person for a team of two. Visit urbandare.com for more info.
