Shawn Colvin has said that her latest album “All Fall Down” (Nonesuch Records) is mostly concerned with loss. But that’s always been Colvin’s best subject, and she’s got just the sort of aching voice that gets you to feel it, too. Backed up by Buddy Miller’s atmospheric production and characteristically concise guitar, Colvin has never sounded better. She’ll make it hurt so good at 8 p.m. Friday at Durham’s Carolina Theatre.
