Here are our picks for New Year's Eve:
NEW YEAR'S JAZZIN' EVE W/ THE ART OF COOL | The Cotton Room, 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
If you live in Durham, N.C., and need some New Year's Eve party plans, then The Foreign Exchange have got you covered. Phonte and Nicolay will be performing their last show of the year on the last day of the year in their home state, and it's gonna be off the hook with DJ Apple Juice Kid, the Al Strong Quintet, Marcus Anderson and Yolanda Rabun also on the bill. I can't think of a better way to ring in 2013 than with Tay and Nic on Dec. 31 at The Cotton Room in Durham. The addition of a chicken and waffles breakfast buffet is simply the cherry on top. This is going to be a NYE to remember."
