CELEBRITY BARTENDER: Fame junkies, this one’s for you. Feeding your need for celeb face-time — which you can shroud as your need to do good deeds — Zinda is launching its yearlong Celebrity Bartender campaign. The short? The second Wednesday of every month, starting with this one, you drink at the hand of a pop-culture paragon and 10% of your bar proceeds get funneled to a nonprofit partner. Kick off the good cause with former Carolina Hurricanes NHL star Bates Battaglia and former NFL Patriots standout Adalius Thomas. Winning. Where: Zinda, Raleigh. When: Wednesday. Doors at 5 p.m., event at 6p.m., fundraising until 9 p.m. Free and open to the public. | More info

DUKE AND STATE: There’s a new titan in town on Tobacco Road — or is there? Either way, it’s not just Tar Heel territory. Find out if the Pack has what everyone’s been howlin’ about, and if the Devils can hold on to that unanimous No. 1 ranking in a backyard b-ball brawl for the books. Where: PNC Arena, Raleigh. When: Saturday, noon. Prices vary.

JEKYLL & HYDE: No, not the strange case of your girlfriend’s personality ... just the new pre-Broadway production of the good vs. evil paradigm, reimagined with “American Idol” star and Tony Award-nominee Constantine Maroulis with GRAMMY Award-nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox. No biggie. Where: DPAC, Durham. When: Tue. - Sun., times vary. Starting at $17.50. | More info

BUMPIN’ UGLIES: The band, people. Minds out of the gutter. Bang one out at Black Flower for the Annapolis-based alt-rock/reggae fusion as they carve out their own niche on the scene. Where: Black Flower, Raleigh. When: Tuesday, 8 p.m.

GUSTER: Slide in for an acoustic set with the Guster String Players as they begin their bi-coastal intimate-theater tour of their small string section, with unique arrangements and general unpredictability. With special guests Yellowbirds. Where: Carolina Theatre, Durham. When: Saturday, 8 p.m. $28-$38. | More info
