Before relocating to the Triangle with Megafaun, Phil Cook hailed from the northern reaches of Wisconsin. But you’d never guess the dude’s a Yankee from listening to Cook when he plays as his solo alter ego, Phil Cook & His Feat, in which guise he shows off a touch for the Southern stringed-instrument vernacular that will put you in mind of Appalachian fiddle tunes.
