Fraser stars as a teacher of �tectonic physics,� who goes with his nephew and an Icelandic mountain guide to try to find his missing brother who disappeared looking for a way into the center of the Earth. In the lush, colorful Valley of Peace, Po (Jack Black), a portly and lazy panda, compelled by dreams of ''awesomeness and attractiveness,'' wants to be a kung fu warrior. Po's every line seems infused with a comforting combination of attitude and wily wide-eyed playfulness; his clumsy movement and facial expressions are hilarious. And when he gets his kung fu groove, it's a sight to see. While the movie's underlying can-do spirit and reassuring never-quit ethos are inspiring, some of the battles may nonetheless be too intense for very young children. (C.O.) 1 hour, 28 minutes.
